What Is Selfless Champion? Jeopardy James Donated A Portion Of His Winnings To A Cancer Charity In Alex Trebek's Name

po

CNN- James Holzhauer, the “Jeopardy!” champion who won 32 straight games, earning a total of $2,462,216, has donated a portion of his winnings to a Chicago-area pancreatic cancer walk. And he did so in Alex Trebek’s name.

Ann Zediker, a resident of Holzhauer’s former town and fundraiser in the walk, told CNN that she was watching the show and, aware of Holzhauer’s connection to Naperville — the champ is a former resident — decided she would reach out and invite him to the 2019 Naperville Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk on July 14. “At the end of the day, I had nothing to lose,” Zediker, who lost her father in 2010 to pancreatic cancer, told CNN. “My heart told me it was the right thing to do.”

Holzhauer told her he would be unable to participate in the event. However, he sent her a donation for $1,109.14. Holzhauer wrote the message, “For Alex Trebek and all the other survivors.” At first, Zediker was confused by the dollar amount. But then it dawned on her — the number represented his daughter Natasha’s birthday.

So I guess Big Brain James is also Big Heart James, huh? It must be a tough day for those Holzhauer Haters that got mad because James trained hard and tried to win a competitive game instead of letting everyone have a shot to win.

Now I know people will say that James could have given more money to this charity considering he just won almost $2.5 million. But those people are flat out dumb and I will not believe they are smart unless they defeat James in a game of Jeopardy.

First of all, James lost half his winnings due to taxes that had to be given to that greedy motherfucker Uncle Sam and his hippie pals in the California government. So immediately he is down a cool million or so right off the bat. James is also a dad, a husband, as well as a professional gambler and money is very much necessary to make all three of those things work. The dude also has to eat, probably wanted to upgrade the motherboard in his brain with some new microchips, and has some other charities he would love to donate too as well. And finally, if James’ bets in Final Jeopardy taught us anything, it’s that Big Brain And Heart James doesn’t see big sums of money the way most of us greedy assholes do. He sees it as a way to write out special dates that mean something to him, just like he did for his daughter Natasha’s birthday. Add in that he donated a grand in Alex Trebek’s name without any word of Ken Jennings donating any money to said charity and I think we know who the people’s champion of Jeopardy truly is.

As always, #FuckCancer
