Hope everyone is having a fun and safe evening. Just stoping by to let you know Anthony Rizzo went deep on Kenley Jansen in the 9th inning with a runner on 1st and down a run. It was a majestic blast as indicated above by both the regular game broadcast and of course, our favorite, dugout cam. So that’s my first star of the game. It goes to Rizzo along with a big wet hot dipped beef from his choice. If he says Johnnie’s then fine I’ll buy him 2.

Next order of business – Yu Darvish. Jesus Christ man what a fucking start. Back up against the wall losing games 1 and 2. Everyone thinks he still sucks (he doesn’t). I’ve been saying for weeks the Cubs are managing him to get 100% on a night like tonight and he goes out and delivers 7 innings of 2 hit, 10 strikeout baseball. MARVELOUS

People forget that Yu Darfvish got paid a fuck load of money for a reason. Also – it’s a nice change of pace from soft tossing, crafty veterans to have 96+ and a plus plus slider. Watching it makes me think we’ve got a massive heater on our hands with Yu at least until the all star break.
