I'm Pretty Sure The St. Louis Blues Hate America
People are usually freaking out online about something on Monday Mornings, on this lovely Monday, it’s the St. Louis Blues. People are big mad that the Blues mixed in an Enterprise Rent a Car flag into the color guard of the National Anthem before Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals. So, do the St. Louis Blues as an organization hate America? I think the proof is in the pudding.
Professional sports teams make boat loads of money. So why are the St. Louis Blues trying to nickel and dime the military? I mean, did they REALLY need to squeeze in an Enterprise Rent a Car ad during the National Anthem? First off, how many people even noticed the ad and acted on it? I can’t imagine many people sitting on their couches before Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals and thinking “Oh my god is that an enterprise rent a car flag!? We have a trip to Florida in 2 months and we should definitely use Enterprise when it’s time to rent a car”.

So the real question is…is the money worth it? Did the Blues really need the money from Enterprise? In December of 2018 Forbes had the Blues listed as being worth $465 million. I don’t think the franchise sinks or swims based off an Enterprise ad being sold during the national anthem. I’m pretty sure they’ll survive just fine without it.
It just doesn’t make any sense to me. How dumb can one organization be? The country is rallying around the Blues and then they pull this out of their ass.
I reached out to a formed Military member (Captain Cons) for a statement on the Blues and to get his thoughts on the disrespect displayed by the entire Blues organization.
Honoring our Flag and our Nation’s anthem before sporting events is a time-honored tradition. We are in many ways paying homage to the freedoms we have in this great country. The colors represented by the flag carry a deep meaning and that shouldn’t be cheapened by advertising. I won’t lose sleep over this but shame on St Louis for thinking this was ok – they need to be better
So there you have it….the Blues are basically anti America and need to be better.
