I’m not gonna beat around the bush because I’ve made myself very clear in the past, Lil Wayne is the best rapper of all time and I’ll scream it from the hilltops until I’m blue in the face. Along with that, the No Ceilings mixtape is the best mixtape of all time. Weezy literally took all the best beats from that year, rapped over them and made every single song better. The most versatile rapper to ever live just simply cannot be stopped, you can only hope to contain him.

I remember exactly where I was when this tape dropped. I had faked sick and stayed home from school because both my parents were working and I knew I would have the house to myself. I was a freshman in high school and spent the day in my living room blasting the entire thing front to back off the family computer on YouTube. No Ceilings Lil Wayne is the ultimate metaphor/punch line rapper. Clever bars that only Weezy’s brain is capable of producing. Roll one, light one and bump this song and while you’re at it just play the rest of the No Ceilings mixtape and thank me later.
