JAVY BAEZ WALKS IT OFF AGAINST THE PHILLIES

Keep this win in mind next time you want to complain about the Cubs losing a close game.

Last night it was traiing 3-1 then winning 4-3 in the B8 after a Daniel The Dentist Descalso little league home run. Then a check swing call that went against the Cubs in the 9th resulted in them tying it up at 4 and the Cubs lost in extras. Everyone was bitching.

Fuck The Cubs. 

It wasn’t pretty and more importantly it made me really mad because I hate stupid baseball fans. There’s a reason they play 162. There’s a reason almost every game feels like it can be won. And there’s a reason it seems like every loss is one run. That’s because it’s baseball and it’s fucking awesome.

You struggle through the mundane and the bullshit and the losses so you can get to this:

Because when that happens, no one cares about Andrew McCuthen’s strikeout that never was. No one cares about Arrieta vs. Darvish and whatever else is on your mind. The only thing that matters is the Cubs played a game today and they won. So settle in and settle down. The most important thing is taken care of.
