3-Star Iowa QB Commit Says "I'm Going To Make The Defensive Coordinator At Ohio State Pull His Hair Out"

Pardon? I know it’s not necessary to punch down, but this simple comment has gotten me so triggered that I have no choice but to respond. What the hell is he talking about? First of all, let’s meet Deuce Hogan, the 423rd ranked player in the 2020 recruiting class.

That’s exactly what I thought someone who would make this type of comment would look like. Poop Hogan is a 3-star quarterback out of Texas, and apparently what he lacks in intelligence, he makes up for in overconfidence. I would say it’s a little hard-headed to think that Iowa, who has not won an outright Big 10 Title since 1985, is going to do anything to Ohio State. But then again, the Hawkeyes are coming off a magical 9-4 season last year that ended with an Outback Bowl victory! And the year before they brought home the Pinstripe Bowl trophy! It’s a great time to be a Hawkeye!

Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the past 95 years. Since the Buckeyes and Hawkeyes started playing football against each other in 1922, Iowa is 15-46 in those games, being outscored by damn near 1,000 points in the process. And my point isn’t even that Iowa is no more than a stepping stone we walk over on the way to our real fights. My main point is that we barely even play each other?? 95 seasons and we’re 46-15. I have no idea why this kid would choose the Buckeyes to call out when we’re in a different division, and on a completely different level. Pick on someone your own size, buddy. Maybe an Indiana or an Illinois. But I guess he will get his wish his freshman year (which he’ll probably redshirt). Although the two teams don’t meet this upcoming year, Iowa and Ohio State will meet in Columbus on October 10th, 2020. I’m sure Poop Hogan is going to have our new defensive coordinator Greg Mattison pulling all of his hair out that day…
