Gronk Casually Mentioned He May "Convince Himself" To Play Football Again

Is anybody loving his life right now more than Rob Gronkowski???

Last night, he and Camille attended the Billboard Music Awards and fucking SLAYED the red carpet. Per usual.

But it was his red carpet interview that got even more attention.

The future hall-of-famer was asked if he’s ACTUALLY retired and his answer took us on a little bit of a roller coaster.

“I mess with people. I say ‘fake retired’ to half the people. I say I’m coming back next week. But yes, I’m actually retired. But I like to mess around, sometimes tell people I’m really not.”

Simple enough, right?

Except nothing it ever simple with Gronk. He couldn’t stop there and gave football fans just little glimmer of hope. (or fear, depending on who you are).

“But you never know [about coming back]. You mess around that much about it, I might convince myself. I kind of like it right now. I’m resting, recovering. I’m feeling good. It’s going good.”

Classic.

For what it’s worth, I definitely don’t think Gronk is done. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if we see #87 catching passes from Tom Brady sometime in December. Or maybe the AFC Championship. Makes perfect sense to me.

In the meantime, he’s out here just living the damn dream.

Not only did he win the red carpet, he dipped his toe back into the acting pool when he played a cop trying to kick “seat filler” Kelly Clarkson out for Florida-Georgia line.

By the way, if I was Kelly Clarkson, I’d be fucking furious that they tried to give my seats to those two bums even if it was just a skit.

Anyway, is this a glimpse into the future? It’s not like he’s never attempted acting before. But if somebody in Hollywood hasn’t reached out to Gronk yet to star in Kindergarten Cop 2, they should be fired. It’s a lay up. He could star in cheesy cop movies for the rest of his life and be even richer. Or maybe Baywatch 2? Can you imagine him next to The Rock? Electric.

He also had a dance off with Terry Crews when they presented the Top Rap Song to Cardi B.

Basically the current theme of retirement (and really his entire life) so far: Gronk had himself a night.

Good for him.
