This Game Of Thrones x True Detective Intro Mashup Is Damn Near Perfection

All this incredible video does is hammer home just how great HBO is. Think about all the not only fantastic shows they have, but also fantastic intros. Game of Thrones, True Detective, Entourage, The Sopranos, etc. Shit, how can I forget Ballers? Hearing “Kane is in the building” gets me just as hyped as the first note of Thrones. HBO is just a superteam of #content. The fact that this mashup of two completely different shows works almost flawlessly is crazy, even if both shows are lowkey similar in that they are haunting dramas with super fucked up stuff happening to innocent people.
If this were almost any other show, you could make a case that the good people at Thrones should yoink the fuck out of this intro for the rest of the season. Instead, Game of Thrones has not only one of the Mount Rushmore intros in television history that has incredible music and always evolved based on the events of the show
But also has a fresh one that just upgraded to a whole new level this season complete with epic moments from the show becoming part of the historical record
I also have to add in that the parallels between Reddit completely breaking the brains of some fans for both shows because of the crazy theories involving two big baddy kings (Yellow and Night) that never came to fruition was too obvious to point out. But who gives a shit about that anymore? We are on to Cersei as well as all the political moves that we have always loved that will pile the bodies up. Because as we have known for years now, when you play the game of thrones you win or you die. God I am hyped for what’s about to unfold on Sunday.
