2004 Best Picture Winner "Mean Girls" Turned 15 Years Old Today

15 years is a long time but certainly not long enough for me to forget just how hot Lindsey Lohan was in 2004

People forget she once controlled the largest share of the boner market and it was even close.  So hot *actually* that people still think Rachel McAdams is actually named Regina George. So hot that people didn’t even learn about McAdam for like another 6 months. Btw Notebook fucks so hard.

Point is Social Media has drastically changed the way we as a society interact and appreciate someone like Lindsey Lohan.

Back then being hot was an Institution. It was like college football in the 1920’s when you only had Notre Dame, USC, Ohio State, Army, etc. running up the score on everyone year after year.

Same thing was happening in 2004 when you had Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Anniston, Jessica Alba, Halle Berry and Lindsey Lohan gunning for that National Championship. No one was safe.

Insert social media. Now everything’s up for grabs from college football recruiting to the social hierarchy of being a hot celebrity. The competition is at an all time high.

That’s why 15 years after the Mean Girls release it’s important to remember two things: (1) Lindsey Lohan could have competed against anyone in history and (2) no question life is infinitely better with social media.
