All we ever want is to not be lied to.  We just want honesty.  Just be straight with us.  Maybe we’ll like it, maybe we won’t – just be honest and let us decide.

We’ve been lied to our whole lives and we’re sick of it: from our politicians, to our girlfriends who tell us he’s “just a friend” or “I just really like the way he runs the class”, to our parents who told us we’re special and will do great things in our lives.

You can’t blame us for being conditioned to meet everything said to us with suspicion: better to be careful and protect ourselves than to be naive and made a fool.
