Jim Harbaugh Said He'll Handle the Loss With Class and Grace, Then Spends All Week it on the Refs

NEW ORLEANSSan Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh was understandably unhappy after losing Super Bowl XLVII by the agonizing score of 34-31… “You know, I really want to handle this with class and grace, and we had several opportunities in this game,” Harbaugh said just a few minutes after the game ended. “We didn’t play our best game, and the Ravens made a lot of plays and battled back. They competed to win. But there’s no question in my mind that it was a pass interference, and hold on [Michael] Crabtree on the last one….”I didn’t think that was interference, either, on that second-to-last drive.”

SRIJim Harbaugh admits that he won’t ever forget losing to his brother in Super Bowl XLVII, but the 49ers head coach also sounds as though he’s still a little upset that a flag wasn’t thrown… “I would say it exactly like Bill Polian: A penalty is a penalty no matter when it occurs in a game. It could occur in the first play of the game. It could occur on the last play of the game, or any play in between. That’s the rules of football. You let ‘em play or let ‘em get away with something. Which would you rather have? Let’s play the rules of the game. … If there’s a penalty then it’s a penalty — doesn’t matter what kind of game. … It’s the rules of football. If it’s a penalty, you call it. If you see it, you call it. That’s how I feel about it.”

It’s worth mentioning that Jim Harbaugh also stormed off the field, refusing to be interviewed by Steve Tasker.  I’m sure you know that from the way he’s been angrily denounced by Shannon Sharpe, derided as a sore loser nationwide and attacked by a thousand axe-grinding pundits complaining he thinks the rules all other coaches abide by don’t apply to him.  Wait.  None of those things happened.  Because Harbaugh is still a protected class of coaches and Belichick is Public Enemy No. 1.  Can you imagine for one second the treatment the Hooded One would be getting right now if he blamed a Super Bowl loss on the refs?  It would be a lot worse than Shannon Sharpe ripping him, I promise you that.  He’d be facing fines.  The commissioner would be taking draft picks away. They’d be forming posses and storming Gillette with torches and pitchforks.  Widespread civil unrest. The President would be declaring Martial Law to quell the rioting.  But Jim Harbaugh says he’s handling it with class and grace, so he gets a pass.  Hey, asshole: You’ve been in the league two years.  Get a few pelts on your saddle before you start making excuses for when your team blows a 1st & goal from inside the 5.  Maybe if you didn’t take Frank Gore off the field, let your quarterback run the ball or knew what the hell to do when Baltimore telegraphed to the world they were coming with a blitz on 4th & goal, the refs wouldn’t be an issue. And modeling your complaining after legendary Sandy Vagina Bill Polian doesn’t help your credibility one bit, Noob. Is that classy and graceful enough for you?

Just keep in mind, Mrs. Harbaugh’s uterus has now produced 20% as many Lombardi trophies as Mama Belichick’s had.  @JerryThornton1
