WARNING: The Following Text Messages From The Prosecutor Who Let Jussie Smollett Walk Will Trigger You

Daily Mail – State’s Attorney Kim Foxx continued to meddle in the Jussie Smollett case after ‘recusing’ herself, calling him a ‘washed up celeb who lied to cops’ and telling the prosecutor she had handed the case over to that he was being overcharged just two weeks before the case was dropped, new documents have revealed.

In messages sent weeks after she recused herself from the case Foxx wrote to Joe Magats, the prosecutor who she had handed the case over to, and appeared to compare Smollett’s charges to those leveled at another celebrity defendant, R. Kelly.

She said: ‘Pedophile with 4 victims 10 counts.

Washed up celeb who lied to cops, 16.’

12386600-6930231-image-m-7_1555503862960She was referring to the 16 count grand jury indictment Smollett was hit with for allegedly staging a hoax attack on himself on January 29.

12386602-6930231-image-a-8_1555503870621The case against Smollett, 36, was suddenly and unexpectedly dropped last month by Foxx’s office in questionable circumstances and questions surrounding Foxx’s alleged role in that decision have run rampant since.

FYI – the pedophile comment is a reference to R. Kelley who was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse around that same time. What Kim’s saying is that it’s not fair Jussie had more charges brought against him, a weird stance when you consider the two crimes have literally nothing to do with one another. Like if R. Kelly needs to face more charges guess what that’s the fucking state legislature’s problem to update the Illinois Penal Code. Not the Prosecutor’s job to pick and choose how the law gets applied. That’s called obstruction of justice and it’s serious enough to have its own wikipedia page.

12386604-6930231-image-a-11_1555503952126Magats said during an interview afterwards that he still believed Smollett was guilty.

Magats is the guy who works under Kim Foxx and was ultimately the one in front of the media explaining why they let Smollett walk. He was taking a bulk of the interviews because Foxx “recused” herself. So now after the fact it’s pretty funny to see him blatantly disagree with her at the time.

For sure (period). is a first ballot hall of fame Fake News message. Like you only go For sure. when you blatantly disagree with someone you can’t disagree with. Your girlfriend who just suggested you make some horrible dinner together. For sure. Your insecure friend asking if his shirt is money. For sure. Your boss saying you can’t charge Jussie Smollett with any crimes despite everyone wanting to see him prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

For sure.

Foxx claimed it was never her decision to have the charges dropped in exchange for Smollett surrendering $10,000 in bail money or completing community service.

Now, she is facing mounting calls to resign.

You think? Most violently hated non-violent criminal in Chicago history and he just walks. WALKS. The fucking guy is in Hawaii right now sucking down all the mai thais on the island and splashing around the dolphins while dozens of middle-aged blue collar union people work around the heaping pile of shit he left on our front door. And now it looks pretty clear she was backing into the decision to keep some other people happy so yeah that’s called a shit sandwich you’re eating right now.

Thousands of texts and emails about the case were made public by State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s office Tuesday as criticism of her handling of the case grew. They reveal how a group of staff fretted over the media coverage of the case, routinely sharing news articles with one another in a group called ‘Foxxhole’.

In a statement to DailyMail.com, Foxx said: ‘After the indictment became public, I reached out to Joe to discuss reviewing office policies to assure consistencies in our charging and our use of appropriate charging authority.

At least someone in the office is having fun with it. Now granted Foxxhole is probably the name of the general thread and not specific to just the Jussie Smollett blowback. But that said it’s kind of funny to see the American Justice system play out over iMessages complete with emojis and KE bombing out a triple text while you know everyone’s just rolling their eyes. Over half probably have the notifications silent just to get a break from the drama. Basically no different than that one group chat you can’t escape.

Only difference here is you didn’t get elected to represent the criminal prosecution activities of the 2nd largest prosecutor’s office in the country. Kim Foxx did and based on this I think we could use a new one.
