In The First Period Of His First NHL Game, Cale Makar Scored His First NHL Goal
In the first period of his first NHL game, Cale Makar has scored his first NHL goal. The former UMass defenseman and Hobey Baker winner is playing in his first NHL game after losing in the National Championship on Saturday to Minnesota Duluth. The only time he skated with his teammates was at the morning skate before taking the ice for Game 3 tonight.
This kid was taking tests and doing homework last week, now he is casually scoring goals in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Talk about your life changing in an instant. This kid is just scratching the surface too. I know I have been pumping his tires all year but this kid is as legit a prospect as they come.
Great to see his parents in the crowd too. Must be an awesome feeling for them knowing that them having sex made basically the perfect hockey player.
