Gameday Throwback To Craig "Chief" Berube Knocking Out Eric Cairns

There’s been a lot of talk about “Chief” lately and his intimidating gestures from the bench and walking off the ice during the last few weeks. He isn’t in a jersey but looks like he is ready to run someone through the glass at any moment.

As someone whose favorite team was coached by Ken Hitchcock for quite some time, I can tell you that a coach’s physical condition is not a huge factor in the success of your team. There weren’t a TON of situations where the refs were like, “Ok you get an extra guy for this powerplay, but only if Hitch runs the point”, as unbelievably entertaining as that would have been.

With all that said, it still feels good to have a little more weight behind threats and yells from the bench. In the 1 in a million scenario that we have a full staff on full staff bench brawl… I think the Blues will be just fine.
