Welcome back to your favorite blog where we recap the recap of a Game of Thrones season.

Season 6 is a mixed bag for me. Just like real life, I don’t love all the religion talk whether its the High Sparrow in Kings Landing, Melisandre at The Wall, the Dorthraki at their temple, or Arya acting as the Faceless God’s custodian, or whatever the fuck you wanna call the Three-Eyed Raven.

But the payoffs of all those stories are incredible. Cersei blowing up the sept may be the best sequence in a show full of great sequences, Jon Snow coming back to life shows us that good things actually do happen to good people in Westeros, Khaleesi dunking on people by showing off her flame retardant skin is always an easy way to get a pop from the crowd, Arya murdering The Waif With The Very Hatable Face was a satisfying payoff to a boring story, and learning how Hodor became Hodor just blew the roof off of what Bran is capable of.

We also meet the Sword of the Morning (who may be my favorite one scene character ever), get to satisfyingly watch that traitorous fuck Ser Alliser hang along with Traitorous Fuck Jr. Ollie, The Hound going on a brief vengeance tour, and witness Arya turn Walder Frey into a Pez dispenser.

Biggest Takeaway: Cersei is the baddest bitch in Westeros

That scene and that music may be the greatest 1-2 punch in television history and may have locked up Cersei as the greatest villain in television history for me.

Make sure to catch up on everything leading to Season 8 on Game of Stools
