You know what? Typically I think these things are dumb. I hate how everything is a petition these days. But, I’m going the other way here. Lubbock Loop 289? Boring ass name. Give me Chris Beard Parkway. Reads a bit easier. Easier to say. Plus, it’s named after the guy to make you relevant.

Beard’s story is pretty crazy. He became a Division I head coach in 2015 at Little Rock. He was there for just one year before taking over Texas Tech. He’s been successful all four years. Remember the year he was at Little Rock they beat Purdue in the first round in a crazy game. He made the Elite Eight last year. Now the national runner-up this year. That’s worth a highway to be named after you.
