This Is The Year The Stanley Cup Finally Comes Back To The Greater Philadelphia Area

Calgary Flames v Philadelphia Flyers

There’s no denying the fact that it was a god-awful, miserable, demoralizing year to be a fan of the Philadelphia Flyers men’s professional ice hockey team. The only real positives to take away from the season is that the organization got some addition by subtraction in firing Hakstol and Hextall. And then we also got a chance to look into the future and see what life with Carter Hart between the pipes will be like. But other than that? Yeah, I’d rather take an Ovechkin one-T straight to the dick and balls than go through another Flyers season like that one again.

However, there is still some good that can come out of the Flyers failing to make the playoffs this year which will guarantee the fact that they will not have won a playoff series since 2011-12. And that’s the ability to no longer have to care about the Flyers anymore this year and allowing ourselves to focus solely on one Mr. Johnathan Hockey and his Calgary Flames going on a run into June.

Regular season Western Conference Champions. 99 points on the year for Johnny Hockey. 82 points for Monahan, 78 for Lindholm, 77 for Tkachuk and 74 damn points for 35-year-old defenseman Mark Giordano. The term “wagon” was invented specifically for a squad like the 2018-19 Calgary Flames. They’re young, they’re fast, they murder the back of the net with copious amounts of pucks, and that fan base in Calgary is going to be on a level which the majority of human beings should never and will never find themselves on.

So if you’re looking for a team to latch on to during these playoffs, it makes very little to zero sense to pick anybody else besides the Calgary Flames. Johnny Hockey deserves to get those silky paws of his on the Stanley Cup and then he do a nice little Tour de Shore with it this summer. Margate, Sea Isle, Avalon. It’s been way too long since the Cup has made its way to the Jersey Shore. Hasn’t been since Mike Richards and Jeff Carter brought it back after winning the Cup with the Kings. So this is the year it finally happens again. The Cup is coming back to the Greater Philadelphia Area, and that’s a Jordie Guarantee.

P.S. – Can’t wait for the next remix of Old Town Road.
