Caps Clinch The Metro, #BACKTOBACK Officially Begins Now

BOOOOOOM! Stanley Cup hangover be dammed, the Caps have clinched the Metro AGAIN after beating the Canadiens in DC tonight. Just, damn. Somehow this team is playing…dare I say it…better than last years?? All 4 lines are buzzing, Ovi is at the top of his game, Holtby is in net being his usual great self (remember, at this point last year, Grubauer was starting), and the defense is clicking on all cylinders.

I mean shit, what can I say? The Caps are once again for real. Think about it- the Caps were always the “won’t make it out of the 2nd round” team. And then last year we won the Cup. So realistically, why not back to back? If we believed last year, there’s no reason not to believe again. This team has everything they had last year, and maybe more. The playoffs are a mean, unforgiving sonufabitch, but hey, let’s do this thing. One more game on Saturday vs the Frankies and then the real games begin.
