Could It Be? I Think It Is, That's Jimmer Music!!!!
*checks calendar and sees March Madness has begun, nods head*
Let’s go!! Of course we can’t begin the best two days in sports and not have a Jimmer Fredette story. That seems like some cosmic shit that right as the tournament starts we have rumblings about a Jimmer return to the NBA. In the event you weren’t aware (why would you be), Jimmer is currently lighting it the hell up over in China. He’s 4th in the league in scoring at 36 per game with 47/41% splits and 5 3PM a night to go along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At this point of the NBA season where teams have around 10 games left, you’d be idiotic to not bring Jimmer in if you have the roster spot. This is especially true if you’re the Suns because what on earth are you playing for and if there’s one thing I know it’s that bringing Jimmer in and giving him the ultimate green light will put asses in seats.

Sure he pretty much flamed out during his brief time in the NBA, but the league is built for a player like Jimmer now. Honestly I find it surprising he hasn’t made his way over sooner if only to be an end of the bench guy, because there’s no doubt the man can still light it up from deep. Let’s not forget, this is the same guy who dropped 75 points earlier this year
and I get it, the competition here is suspect compared to the NBA, but remember he also lit up the Rockets in the preseason so that has to count for something
I just don’t think it should be held against him that he didn’t succeed with the Kings before they were actually good and fun, and then ultimately with a 32-50 Knicks team. I dare you to find anyone who would have been successful with that collection of shit. Granted PHX isn’t all different from those dumpster fires but at least now the expectations would be different. Robert Sarver is an idiot if he doesn’t make this move strictly for the publicity, especially for a team that’s 27th in attendance. We all know what time of year it is, why not take a flier that Jimmer can dig deep and pull out some of his March Madness magic and Suns fans can actually have something fun to cheer for.
Their lottery position is pretty much secured, so give the people what they want and give Jimmer some run.
