Logan Paul Comes Out As A Flat-Earth Believer And Parents Are NOT Happy

(Chicago Tribune)–The theory that the earth is flat reached a new audience this week, thanks to a viral video by controversial YouTube star Logan Paul.

Paul, who is popular with middle school and high school students, released a trailer for an upcoming documentary in which he attends a flat earth convention and interviews participants. While his ultimate conclusion is not revealed in the trailer, he is shown telling a cheering audience, “My name is Logan Paul and I think I’m coming out of the flat earth closet.”

The video, released Sunday, has more than 1.2 million views.

“A lot of kids look up to popular people like (Paul), so it could have an effect,” said Owen Cooney, 13, of Chicago’s Beverly neighborhood.

Logan Paul out there doing his thing again. What that is I don’t really know. I just know that he is a guy on the internet who has an army of internet children behind him and he’s somehow a millionaire by being a professional moron. Meanwhile, I’m a professional moron and I’m a mere thousandaire. Anyways, it appears that Logan Paul is finding a new group of people to exploit and it’s the super passionate and super insane flat-earth crowd and it’s causing people to write think pieces in The Atlantic and New York Magazine about how dangerous it is for him to influence children into believing in Flat Earth Theory.

Uh hey idiots, welcome to Earth…the round kind. Parents have been the ones telling their kids to believe in all sorts of stupid ideas since the beginning of time. “Your face will get stuck like that”, “Santa is watching you”, “that stuffed Elf on the shelf reports to Santa”, “a fairy left that US currency under your pillow while you were sleeping”, “a magical giant bunny rabbit hid eggs with candy in them so you’ll love Jesus (because that totally makes sense)”, “you’re special”, “you’re handsome”, “you’re good at sports”, “you can do anything you put your mind to”…ALL lies. Nobody thinks parents are being dangerous or reckless. Lying to kids is just called “parenting”. And like all that other shit, when your stupid kid grows up and becomes marginally less stupid he or she will realize that the lies Logan Paul told them about the Earth are no more stupid than the ones he/she was told by their own parents.
