PITTSBURGH — Mac Miller’s name has been added to the location for Blue Slide Park in Google Maps. When a search for “Blue Slide Park” is entered, the results return with a result of “Mac Miller’s Blue Slide Playground.” He named one of his albums for the park, which was a tribute to Pittsburgh’s Frick Park. There was a petition by Pittsburgh residents to have the name of the park officially changed after Miller’s death, but that change has not yet happened. Miller, whose real name was Malcolm McCormick, was found dead in his house in September due to what the Los Angeles County coroner report says was a combination of drugs and alcohol.

That’s nice. That makes me feels good. Although the way I’m reading that is it only shows up that way on Google Maps and they really should just name the actual park after Mac Miller. Why not? That’d be a very cool gesture by the city of Pittsburgh Have a big ceremony and cut a ribbon and have Mac Miller’s family there and everything. Maybe put a Mac Miller mural somewhere in the park. Mac Miller made Frick Park infinitely more famous than it was ever gonna be. Just do it.
