UFC Fighters' Translators Translating Call-Outs Is The Absolute Best
Something I never noticed until I moved in with Trent – a novice mixed martial arts fan – is how god damn funny it is when UFC fighters’ translators have to translate call outs.
As someone that’s been watching combat sports for a little over a decade now, I guess I was just numb or jaded to it, never even batting an eye when a chubby/nerdy dude in a polo or button-down shirt is yelling “GIVE ME THE BELT” at the camera, or calling someone a “MOTHERFUCKER”, but Trent picked up on the hilarity and somewhat absurdity of it right away, and it now never fails to crack me up.
After Zaleski Dos Santos picked up his seventh victory in a row, submitting a game opponent in Curtis Millender, we may have just gotten our best one yet.
Homeboy was so preposterously emotional, and fired up about the victory, and the opportunity to call out the entire Welterweight Division, I wouldn’t have been surprised if he pulled a Brock Lesnar and tried to destroy the camera after that rant!
He didn’t even wanna stop, mumbling expletives to himself afterwards with a crazed look in his eyes!
You just have to love it. God bless that man. I hope he gets the belt, or a top five opponent, very soon.
