What's Your Favorite Mitch Hedberg Joke?

Every so often I’ll blog about Mitch Hedberg. His birthday, his death day, my birthday, whenever I see someone picketing, etc. He is one of my favorite comedians of all time, taken from us way too soon. I used to download Hedberg sets on Napster and just listen to them nonstop. I could not believe how funny he was. I was supposed to see him live in January of 2005, but we had a blizzard and couldn’t go. He then died about 3 months later and I never got to see him. But his comedy has lived on and I hope the kids these days are listening to him and watching his YouTube videos the way I used to.

Oh but back to what I was saying before, I like blogging about Hedberg because with our ever expanding fan base maybe there are people who aren’t as familiar with his work. This all came up because yesterday myself and Barstool Kate were talking about a joke Nate Bargatze tells and somehow it transitioned to us talking about Mitch Hedberg, and I said “without thinking, off the top of your head what’s your favorite Mitch Hedberg joke?”. I already knew mine and I wanted to know hers. She IMMEDIATELY goes “I find a duck’s opinion of me is largely influenced by whether or not I have bread”. Before she even finished the joke I was on the floor. That’s both of our’s favorite joke by him.

It’s legitimately the perfect joke.

He has so many classics, but that one sticks out because of how perfectly he says it and how extremely true it is.

Even the jokes that aren’t even jokes are jokes because of how great he was.

I was crying laughing just screenshotting those and I’ve already heard/read them a million times. The idea of Bigfoot just being blurry in the wild is so funny.

There’s like a million more that I could have added but I wanted people to go back and listen to his sets if they are unfamiliar with this genius.

So yeah.
