LaMelo Ball Starts Fight By Dancing Then Stands There As His Team Gets Beat Up

I’m not one to jump to conclusions, but I think it’s safe to say that dancing in someone’s face is a declaration of war. Especially during a basketball game when you’re up by what I’m assuming is a significant margin. To be clear, I’m okay with it, you just have to back it up when the other team retaliates, not throw your hands up and pretend to be confused.

You have to get in there and mix it up- that’s what leaders do, Melo. That’s what Larry did, that’s what Michael did, that’s what Kobe did. That’s what all the greats did. I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt because he’s young, but it’s not a good look. I’m sure the NBA isn’t going to be happy either. No amount of shirtless dancing in the mirror will be able to distract them from the fact that he left his teammates out to dry.

I remember getting into a team fight during a CYO game (I sucked) and it was the same thing. The kid who started didn’t do anything and we were left to clean up the mess. It’s fifteen years later and we still don’t forgive him. Probably never will. Hopefully Melo’s teammates are able get over it and move on, but I wouldn’t blame them if they don’t.
