Folks, John Mayer Has Done It Again With His New Song

Folks, folks, folks. What a day we have on our hands. It’s Friday, the sun is shining, the snow has melted away and John Mayer has done it again with his new song. Last night at midnight he released his new song ‘I Guess I Just Feel Like’ and it’s a good one. Boyyyyyyyyyyy is it a good one. We’re back to the basics. He explained it in his Instagram post about how he was gonna use sequencers and plugins and all this fancy smancy stuff but then he remembered, “Wait a second. I’m John Mayer. I can do this in my sleep” and boom he wrote I Guess I Just Feel Like in an hour.

I’m all for JM experimenting with effects and all that but there’s nothing better than when John Mayer writes a John Mayer song. That’s what he did on I Guess I Just Feel Like. It’s a classic Mayer tune through and through. He bought a couple cheap microphones, jammed out for awhile and it worked. The song makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside and the solo at the end is reallllllllllllll good stuff. It’s always a good day when John Mayer puts out new music.

For those keeping track at home, he’s 2 for 2 on his last 2 songs, New Light and I Guess I Just Feel Like. Both are fantastic. Some might even say he should do a whole new album.
