They did it! Maryland went into corn country and knocked off number 21 Iowa. It was Maryland’s first road win over a ranked team since Forrest was eating ice cream and playing ping pong. And of course it came down to the buzzer, as Maryland squandered a 12 point lead in the waning minutes of the game, only to hold on and escape with the W. Iowa was an inch away from winning their third straight game on a buzzer beater, but Nate Doll and Big Cat had other plans.
Big resume building win for the Terps as we move closer and closer to the most magical time of the year. And not to be ignored, the fact they have that “you can only beat good teams at home” elephant off their back.
