INVESTIGATION: Is Tyler Herro Right That Tennessee Is Scared Of PJ Washington?

[The Athletic] - “I think they’re scared of him, honestly. Scared of PJ,” said UK freshman guard Tyler Herro, who made like a bandit zipping around the frozen fear zombies for his first career double-double: 15 points and 13 rebounds. “I think a lot of people are scared now that he’s scoring like he is and doing what he’s doing.”

So this quote came out following Kentucky’s ass kicking of Tennessee. Now being the investigative journalist that I am, I decided to look into it. I mean it’s a fair question by Tyler Herro.

Is Tennessee scared of PJ Washington?

Let’s look at some evidence here. I present evidence 1, bully ball:

Definitely some intimidation here. I mean he just plays bully ball. To me this set the tone. You can tell this is probably where Tyler started to think, ‘oh yeah, these guys are scared of PJ Washington.’

Evidence 2; Admiral is so shook he falls for a basic shoulder shimmy:

Pretty clear fear is starting to sink in. Admiral Schofield, who is one of the toughest dudes in the country falls for a basic shoulder shimmy. Shows me he was too scared to deal with PJ straight up. Had to lean one way to avoid being bullied.

Evidence 3; just getting out of his way:

Okay, now this screams fear. I was trying to take my bias out of this blog, because again, I’m an investigative journalist here. But, this is the final straw. Tennessee just gets out of his way. I mean they don’t want to be within 5 feet of him. How else would he get this rebound? Oh and then the soft reach foul shows they don’t want to agitate him anymore. Just pure fear:

VERDICT: Scared, on all accounts. Every single one of them. Can’t blame them really. PJ Washington has been the SEC Player of the Year and an All-American since conference play started. Oh, I also love Tyler Herro running his mouth and saying this. I want guys that talk shit and have some motherfucker in them. Tyler Herro has that.
