Source – A Virginia man is behind bars after projecting a porno film on his garage door in full view of his neighbors, police allege.
Antonio Smallwood, 41, was arrested Wednesday evening in connection with the al fresco 7 PM screening on a tidy Newport News street. A patrolman responded to the block after a 911 call reported “pornographic material being displayed,” cops say.
“Upon arrival, the officer observed a movie involving sexual activity being projected on the garage door of the residence,” according to police. At that point, a cop sought to serve Smallwood with a summons. But when the film enthusiast refused to sign the summons, he was arrested. …
Charged with obscene sexual display and obstruction of justice, Smallwood was booked into the local jail.
If ever there was a crime where you have to look at it from the accused’s point of view, this is it. Judge not lest ye be judged. Let he who did not grow up with a name just begging to be made fun of cast the first stone.
It can’t be easy to be Antonio Smallwood. You try listening to “small wood” jokes your whole life and tell me that by the time you hit your 40s you won’t be showing the world’s biggest wangs blown up to movie screen proportions on your 8′ X 18′ garage door for all to see. If that won’t shut the neighbors up, I don’t know what will.
Besides, this is a crime now? It’s getting so I don’t even recognize this country anymore. In the America I grew up in, a man’s home was his castle. And if that castle had a huge movie screen sized rectangle, he was free to get out the VCR and the projector and show Goodwill Humping and Pretty Shitty Gang Bang to his heart’s content. And if you didn’t want your wife or kids to look at it, you merely told them to turn their heads and it was live and let live. But in 250 years we’ve traded one tyrant 3,000 miles away for 3,000 tyrants one block away. And I weep for my nation.
Remember, that if Antonio Smallwood isn’t free to project huge displays of porn all over Newport News, VA, then none of us is truly free.
