Bryce Has Possibly Begun The Divorce Process By Unfollowing Several Capitals Including Tom Wilson On Twitter

This is actually huge news. What reason would Bryce have to unfollow several Washington Capitals, including Tom Wilson, on Twitter? Is it because he’s still salty that the Caps beat his Vegas Knights in the Stanley Cup? Or is it something bigger? Is it Bryce beginning the divorce from Washington DC, starting off by unfollowing local athletes like Tom Wilson?

It’s hard to tell exactly when Bryce’s unfollowing spree happened, but he did axe 4 followers on June 9th, just two days after the Caps won the Cup

and then he cut 5 more followers on January 16th, which could be what Willy is talking about.

Bryce did stay following Braden Holtby though, which makes it all more the interesting.

While we’re talking about it, it is pretty nuts Bryce hasn’t signed anywhere, and the Nats are still in contention to sign him. I still think he goes to Philly, but it’s wild the process has dragged out this long. The whispers now are he will sign somewhere on Thursday, but who knows. The Giants are in the mix now, but apparently it’s a “short term offer” which Bryce doesn’t want. There have been rumors that other teams have offered him short term, huge money contracts ($30 mil a year) but Bryce doesn’t want that.

So who knows. It’ll probably be Philly, despite him not wanting to play in Philly. Or it still could be Washington. Don’t forget he rejected a 10 year, $300 million deal to stay with the Nats to test the market. Is that offer still on the table? Nobody knows.

The thing we definitely aren’t talking enough about is the fact the Nats don’t really need Bryce. We have Soto, Robles, and Eaton, as well as Michael A Taylor. And shit, if they want more OF insurance, guys like Adam Jones are still on the market.

And besides, do we really want a guy in DC who unfollows Tom Wilson on Twitter? Something to think about.
