On August 31st, 2018 I wrote the above blog the day after Christian Hackenberg played in a preseason game for the Eagles. It was classic Hackenberg.
Well, great news. He is back playing football, baby! This time in the AAF for the fabled Memphis Express. And surely this is the beginning of the comeback. Tear it up in the AAF, get onto an NFL team in a backup role, and get that NFL career going. The Tommy Maddox/XFL route if you will. Anddddddddd let’s see how that’s going…..
The former Jets 2nd round pick finished the 1st quarter 1/5 for 10 yards and an INT. It’s safe to say, Hack Is Back. And I love it. We need him to play football forever. He’s our constant. He’s how we know we’re still alive. When Hack is throwing picks on a football field, we know we’re not in the Matrix. He keeps the world spinning and the sun shining. Hackenberg Forever.

Realistically he could be the worst draft pick of all time, even though he was a 2nd round pick. Dude just could never put it together after his freshman year at Penn State. Kinda crazy.
