Artemi Panarin Says He Still Loves Chicago And Wants To Come Home(Pretty Much)

CUE THE MUSIC VIDEO!!!!

When Panarin switched agents yesterday there was a lot of speculation that he and Bobrovsky would be a UFA package deal since both Russians now have the same representation. After spending a good amount of time on capfriendly and stewing on it for 24 hours I suppose that is possible…BUT…it would cost both players millions of dollars if they truly want to do that. There aren’t a lot of teams who will be able to pay market value for both guys AND the ones that likely do have that cap space have it for a reason…they suck and are in shitty places where nobody wants to play.

Which means Panarin can be reuinited with his soulmate, Patrick Kane. The Blackhawks just need to get one of these big name UFAs and all of a sudden they’re going to have tremendous depth. I wrote it yesterday but I will put it down again here in a different combination

Saad-Toews-Sikura

Panarin-(somebody)-Kane

Debrincat-Strome-Kahun

Cagguila-Kampf-Hayden

That is a very deep team. That’s a team with three very dangerous and responsible lines. Good luck matching that. I do think from a fit/depth perspective Duchene might even be the better fit.

Caggiula-Toews-Kane

Debrincat-Strome-Kahun

Saad-Duchene-Sikura

Hayden-Kampf-Perlini/someone

I’ve for a LONG time now that the Blackhawks were two forwards away because then everyone who is being asked to do too much right now can be slotted down into a roll that better suits their ability. They’re close. The cavalry is coming on defense. The Dynasty can still reign. #JoinOrDie
