Con Man Posing As A Police Officer Convinces Idiot Straphanger To Give Him His Cell Phone And ID Before Getting On The Subway

Video is pointless, but this is what happened

GothamistAccording to the NYPD the incident occurred on Sunday, January 13, around 8 p.m. The suspect—described as being a 5’7″, 200 pound black man in his 20’s—approached his victim on the corner of West 33rd Street and 8th Avenue and “displayed a shield and identified himself as a police officer.” He asked the victim to hand over his ID and cellphone, which the victim did. After that the suspect then walked his victim down the steps to the subway and, after talking about something, graciously allowed him to enter the station. Once the victim was through the turnstile the suspect fled the station “to parts unknown.” Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). And seriously, don’t buy any bridges.

You have gotta be one of the stupidest motherfuckers on the planet to think that dude is a police officer. Just an absolutely pathetic display of intelligence and confidence. Some guy basically tells you to give him your phone and you’re such a spineless jelly fish you do it. Honestly if somehow, in an alternate universe, I got duped by this homie and just willingly gave him my iPhone and then walked away and got on the train, I would never tell anyone about it. Never. Its like the one time I was like 17 years old on a cruise to the Bahamas and bought a little bit of weed from some Bahamian local. I gave him like 50 bucks and he handed me a wad of paper saying it was all wrapped up inside there. Told me don’t open it right here because someone might see. I walk away and he disappears and eventually I open it up and I just keep unwrapping paper. Just a smaller wad of paper inside of another ball of paper inside another ball of paper like one of those Russian dolls until there was nothing more to unwrap and I had no drugs. I promised to never admit that to anyone because it was hands down the stupidest moment of my life. I let some borderline retarded and homeless Bahamian man outsmart me. Only reason I’m admitting it now is because the statute of limitations has run out on that. I can own up to it now. But that was the most embarrassing moment of my life.

If I was this fucking nerd who just gave his phone to some idiot because he flashed something shiny that looked like a badge, I’d just lie to every single person I know and say I left it in a cab or something. Just pony up the money for a new one and don’t even report it to the police because you’re the dumbest asshole on the planet and you don’t deserve to even have someone go waste their time by looking for that phone.

PS – This is just the case of someone who’s absolutely terrified of black people. It was basically like a white collar mugging. That guy took one look at that nerd and could smell the fear of black people on him and basically like mugged him in a non violent way. Pathetic.
