The Bucks Dropped An Astounding 50 Points In The First Quarter Tonight

I know the Wizards are currently in the process of unloading contracts and starting over. That’s all well and good, but you think they would still have some professional pride. Even some of the strongest tanking teams this season haven’t allowed a 50 burger in 12 minutes of basketball. In fact, this is the second one so far this season with the Warriors dropping 51 in the first quarter earlier in January against the Nuggets. Basically only the Warriors do shit like this and they don’t even do it all that often, so it’s not exactly like this is something you see all that time. The 50 points were also the 3rd most in team history and their most since 1991. The stats from that first quarter are simply preposterous

– The Bucks shot 20/27 and 7-9 from three
– No starter missed more than 3 shots
– 5 players had at least 7 points
– They had 24 points in the paint
– Again, they scored 50 fucking points in 12 minutes

As we know the Bucks have been the best and most complete team in the entire NBA basically since the jump. They’re winners of 4 straight, are up 71-50 as I write this so I’m thinking their East leading 22-4 home record is safe. This is the beauty of the NBA, on a random Wednesday night in a game that really doesn’t mean all that much, you can have some pretty wild moments. I would say seeing the Bucks score the most points in a quarter in 28 years is a weird one, but cool nonetheless.
