Wake Up With The 2005 Fighting Illini Basketball Team

I don’t care what anyone says or thinks. The 2005 Illini Basketball team was the best to ever do it. An absolute UNIT of a team. 3-All American guards in the starting lineup. Two of them 1st Teamers. Blowout wins every other game. A group of players that captured the nations hearts then delivered the most historic NCAA Tourney comeback ever:

These were quite literally the Good Old Days. Sad that it’s gone but credit to the 8-15 Fighting Illini for knocking off #9 Michigan State last night at home. Huge win and kinda cool it came on the 40th anniversary of the Illini upsetting #1 Michigan State and Magic Johnson in 1979. 40 years later and my dad still talks about that game. Those are the best.
