Wake Up With Manny Machado's Best Play EVER, A Dart From Foul Territory.

I'll never forget where I was when I saw this Manny Machado play, it was really the first time you realized that he had an absolutely insane arm. He begins the play by attempting a backhand play deep in the third base hole. Machado ends up booting the ball, having to pick it up and chuck it. By the time he has the ball in his hand and cocks his arm he's a legit 6-7 feet away from he foul like and easily on the grass.

LOOK WHERE HE IS WHEN HE ACTUALLY THROWS THE BALL!!!!

YOU CAN'T EVEN SEE THIRD BASE. It's not a big deal either that he put the throw right in Chris Davis' chest. I mean Davis didn't have to move his glove at all. Thank god it was Luis Cruz running, because that dude is SLOW. But seriously, this is the most impressive play I saw Machado make because of the arm strength and accuracy. Plays like this were the reason people wanted him at third and not to move to short. He was a GREAT third baseman, and an average shortstop when you look at the metrics.

That play was gonna be tough if he fielded it clean, but he made it an amazing play even after the bobble. Shout out to Gary Thorne for the good call too, his classic "Hooooooooooo Mercy! You'll see that one for the next few years!". Nice call by uncle Gary.

Now we wait to see which team he'll do this for next! Fuck, I love this guy.
