GREAT NEWS: The Raiders Will Play Another Year On A Baseball Field!!
September 13, 2015. I don’t remember where I was, but it’s clear I was watching football and thinking to myself “it is absolutely ridiculous that the Raiders play football on a baseball field”.
September 10, 2018. It’s 3 years later and Jared Goff is lined up at 2nd base, about to take a snap. The Raiders have announced they are moving to Vegas in a brand new stadium for the 2020 season, and rumors have it they are going to play on UNLV’s field next year, so it could potentially be the last season we see the Raiders play football on a baseball diamond, the true end of an era.
BUT WAIT…THERE IS A FOOTBALL GOD!!!
OH HELL YES!
One more season of the Raiders playing on a baseball field! I’ve gotten so used to it, so accustomed to it, and was getting so sad at the prospect of having to watch the Raiders go 4-12 without it. I cannot believe we are getting one final year of the displaced Raiders playing on a makeshift field. Boy do I hope they draft a bad WR who runs a 4.2 40 just for old time’s sake too.
The Patriots and Super Bowls. The Redskins and dysfunction. The Raiders and playing on dirt infields. NFL traditions unlike any others.
