Probably about once a week I'll find myself thinking about this play. Ball is laced to Vladimir Guerrero in right with guys on first and second. Off the bat this looks like the guy on second is scoring easy.  You'd think that would be the case, except you forgot about the absolute cannon attached to #27's shoulder.
Vlad plays this ball on the hop, kind of waits for it, gathers it, and unleashes towards home. Alberto Castillo was on second and wasn't the fastest runner, and as he gets to third he kind of dances around it before hitting the bag. That gave Vlad plenty of time to make a good throw. Instead of making a good throw, Vlad rips off a no hopper, right in the chest of the catcher. Castillo was dead as a doornail, smalls. I mean he was toast. Absolute perfect throw by Vlad.
The arm on Vlad was just ridiculous, I have no clue why anyone would attempt to run on him. He'd make plays like this and act like it was nothing. Piece of cake.
