Zac Efron Is Way Too Hot To Be Playing Ted Bundy
Source - High School Musical, Baywatch, and Greatest Showman alum Zac Efron is shedding his handsome boy-next-door-ness to tackle the role of notorious serial killer Ted Bundy for a chilling new biopic. The results are confusing, upsetting, horrifying, and (broadly speaking) super not okay.
The first trailer for the project, titled Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile—a direct quote from one of Bundy’s numerous guilty verdicts—reveals the shudder-inducing tone of the film, told from the perspective of Bundy’s lovestruck girlfriend Liz Kendall (Lily Collins.) At the time of his state-administered execution in 1989, Bundy was believed to be responsible for upwards of 30 deaths.
When I first heard that this movie was coming out and that Zac Efron would be playing Ted Bundy, I wasn’t surprised. Sex sells, especially when it’s paired with violence and Zac is a certified minx. His body is so shredded that it’s actually confusing to look at it. Like I’m pretty sure you could run a hunk of parmesan across his abs and it would turn to dust.

Which is the exact reason why he shouldn’t be playing one of the most notorious serial killers of all time. He’s too hot. What does he have to gain from this role? Acting prestige? No. He’s always going to be Troy Bolton from High School Musical and no amount of fake movie murders will ever change that. He should accept that fact and focus solely on getting his Instagram followers up. He’s got 37.7 million of them right now, but there’s no reason he can’t double that number in a few years’ time. Then the real money starts rolling in. Kendall Jenner received $250k for one post about Fyre Festival so you figure Zac can make one third of that. Regardless, Zac is way too hot to be playing Ted Bundy.
Not only that, now everyone is going to think Ted Bundy was a babe. Which wasn’t the case, he just had good orthodontics. There’s a big difference.

Will I end up seeing the movie? Of course. The trailer looks fantastic and Zac Efron is Zac Efron. I just wanted to take a minute to let him know he doesn’t have to do movies anymore. Not with a face like this.
