People who are priced out of Pilsen are looking in McKinley Park,” said Redfin agent Niko Voutsinas. “People who live there have have excellent connectivity to downtown because it’s right off the L and the expressway. The neighborhood has a beautiful park with public amenities, a pond and an outdoor swimming pool.”

And a wonderful public pool to escape the hot summer days

In all seriousness, there’s only so many more places Chicago can grow. Pilsen used to be a dump and now it’s got a few of my favorite places in the whole city. Take your girl to Dusek’s over by Thalia Hall. That place will blow your tits off. There’s nothing quite like that in McKinley Park, but those things are coming. If you actually go to the Redfin site there’s some newer construction options that I’m sure will be worth like a bazillion dollars in 10-15 years.
