Well I Guess This Is Growing Up

Dammit, I don’t know if I’m feeling this. I mean I know bands grow up and evolve and change their sound, but if you were like “is it still blink 182 without Tom?” and hesitantly landed on yes, and now you’re asking yourself “is it still blink 182 when they are writing songs with the Chainsmokers?”…the line gets thinner and thinner.

I guess this is growing up though. I guess we have to accept our Dude Ranch, Enema of the State, punk rock, anti-establishment, poop joke making band is done. It doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing though. Mark still writes bangers. Just because they might sound a little different than the old days, it doesn’t mean they suck or anything like that. Blink has been a band for 27 years, they weren’t going to stay the same the entire time.

So with that being said, I’m going to stay optimistic for the new album. I didn’t particularly love “California”, and I’m not the biggest Skiba fan, but who knows, maybe this new one will be amazing. High hopes, my friend. Not going to prematurely poo-poo it.
