Roger Federer Revealed Why He Cries During Flights And His Answer Was Something

Well would you look at that, Roger Federer is just like one of us. Well, maybe just me. I’m a sucker for a good dramatic, romance movie that brings out the tears. Over the weekend I caught Crazy Rich Asians. I found myself literally sobbing in bed alone and I had no idea why (I need baseball to start ASAP). I texted Ellie because she cries every single day. She told me to get a grip of myself. Listen, if you can’t let yourself have a good cry here and there then I can’t help you. Oh, sorry if you thought Fed was just terrified of flying and just starts crying out of nowhere. A little click bat on a Monday never hurt anyone. I do imagine Kirk Cousins starts crying in the middle of flights due to fear. Coward.

Anyways, if you didn’t know, Federer is a big time crier. Dude just LOVES to cry. He cries when he wins and he cries when he loses. I think he took the famous Jim Valvano quote a little too seriously.

If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that’s a full day. That’s a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you’re going to have something special.

I respect the hell out of someone who loves their sport so much that it brings them to tears. I’ll root for that guy over someone like Floyd Mayweather Jr. who’s just in it for the money and fame. Here are Rog’s top 10 cries.

This interview came a few days ago when Fed was interviewed before the Aussie Open. He was asked about his old pal Peter Carter, who Fed credits for developing his technique while he was growing up. 16 years ago he was killed in a car accident so Roger got emotional when talking about it.

Also, hello there.

It’s Aussie Open time baby. You’re getting tennis blogs on this site, that’s a promise. Fed’s quest for #21 is underway.
