Found On YouTube: Chicago In the 1940s

I’ve been getting into old movies lately. I just watched the Original Dirty Dozen and it was hilarious. 52 YEAR SPOILER ALERT: it ends with like a hundred Nazis getting blown to pieces by arguably the greatest football player of all time, Jim Brown, as he slow motion sprints through enemy machine gun fire. I can’t make this stuff up. Old movies are starting to really fuck for me so I’m sharing this one. If you’ve spent any time living in Chicago you’ll find this amusing. From rowing a boat in the beautiful and safe Jackson Park to fishing the natural banks of North Avenue Beach. Chicago circa 1940s was a place of luxury and leisure. Pretty much same now except we’re a lot fatter and there’s way more gun violence. But that’s a different blog.
