"Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club" May Be The Worst Show Ever Broadcast On Television

It hurts me to write this blog because I was rooting for Lindsay. I thought this show was going to be the beginning of her triumphant return to superstardom, but I was wrong. Instead it was a bizarre mashup of “VIP Hosts” running around an empty beach club in Mykonos trying to fill non-existent orders to make their dream boss, Lindsay Lohan, happy. The sad part is, I get what they were trying to do. They were trying to become Bravo by creating a Below Deck/Vanderpump Rules-style reality show. They just missed the mark. Not only that, the entire show was broadcast with subtitles because none of the cast members were mic’d up. It was a disaster from beginning to end. I tried to find clips online, but all I could come up with were these gifs, which perfectly sum up the substance of the show.

I’m not saying I expected it to be awesome, I just expected it to be better than it was. At least give me a story line. That said, I somehow still think that this is going to help Lindsay’s brand. It’s going to make people root even harder for her. She’s America’s favorite troubled teen and everyone wants the wholesome red headed girl from the Parent Trap to get back to where she used to be. To be clear, I don’t blame her, I blame MTV for exploiting her, but her name is on the show so what are you going to do.

So yeah, it was bad, but this is a step in the right direction. Remember, a few months ago she was in Russia live streaming herself accusing parents of kidnapping their own children.

She’s still got the weird accent, she’s still a little off, but she’s on the way to a full-blown comeback. I know it. I’m giving the show one more week until I write it off completely. Until then, I’ll be admiring some of her older work. #Neverforget.
