I’m not a religious person, but if I was, I’d view that video as God saying, “Nope. Nice try but your life is gonna suck just as much in 2019 as it did in 2018. You’re not gonna get over your problems. They’re gonna be worse this year in fact.” If God is real and that was his message to that pastor, I’m back in on God. I’m a mostly positive person but a pastor using a stupid trampoline to try to make a stupid point is stupid and I’m glad he fell because it was funny. If God has that type of sense of humor then I take back all the mean things I’ve said about him ever since that time I got high when I was 18 and thought, “That stuff can’t be real!”*

Real question, do you think that pastor lost members of his congregation after the failed stunt? I bet he did. Any self-respecting church goer has to be confident that their pastor has a real connection to God and is speaking for him. There had to be at least a few people seated in those pews watching that and thinking, “Oh wow. God isn’t fucking with him at all” and immediately started searching for a new church on Google maps.

*This is a very real event that happened in my life. I smoked a bunch of weed and stopped believing in God. I wasn’t very religious anyway by then but at that point I abandoned it forever and never looked back. Good times.
