Former Kings Head Coach Mike Malone Keeps Wildly Impressive Grudge Streak Going #GrudgeMike

Man, do I love me some grudge that lasts for years. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t that petty, Michael Malone has a right to be pissed at the Kings still after being fired after the 2014-15 season. Sure, coaches get fired all the time, but he was fired as DeMarcus Cousins was missing time due to meningitis. You know, the most important player on the roster.

Malone ended up coaching his daughter’s 4th grade basketball team before ending up as the head coach of the Nuggets. Safe to say he’s in a better spot now with a Nuggets team that has a young core and could possibly contend for a title whenever the Warriors run ends.

I do love this backhand comment though. The Kings are actually doing solid this year, sitting at 19-19. I don’t think most people would say the Kings would be .500 this far into the season. They seem to have found their backcourt with De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield. Things actually don’t seem terrible out there. But, it’s the Kings so naturally there’s still some drama. Most notably the fight about No. 2 overall pick Marvin Bagley and how much playing time he should have between Joerger and the front office.
