Marlon Byrd Breaking His Bat On A Swing And A Miss Is This Phillies Team In A Nutshell

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Even the laws of physics aren’t immune this team’s shittiness. How does that even happen? It’s either complete incompetence on Byrd’s part by going up there with an already cracked stick or God saying he’s not going to give the Phillies a chance to succeed. Possibly both.

I’ve had it and the Phils aren’t even playing bad ball this series. They just suck, plain and simple. The Mets were in last place in the NL East before this 5 game series began but now the Phillies have that honor after dropping 3 of 4. On top of that we’ve had to watch 3 straight games of extra innings. 39 innings in 3 days. The fans don’t deserve to struggle watching this team limp through for more than 27 outs in one sitting.

Also, major props to Ruben Amaro Jr. for calling up Phillippe Aumont from AAA to lose the game in the 11th. God forbid he finally gives fireballer and Mt. Airy native Jesse Biddle a shot at the show. If you can’t put a good product out on the field to compete then at least pretend to tickle the fans’ balls for a bit. Here is the 22-year-old lefty K’ing 16 this time LAST year.
