Boston College Surprises Chris Herren Jr. With Scholarship During Christmas Gift Exchange

I made a promise at one point. I’m going to blog every single one of these I can find because they are awesome every single time. Now we’re throwing in some family history here as Boston College surprised Chris Herren Jr., with a scholarship during the Christmas gift exchange from head coach Jim Christian. I’m sure 99% of people reading this know Chris Herren’s story. He was one of the best high school players in the country who turned down the opportunity to play at Kentucky/Kansas/Duke and instead stay home and play for Boston College. He was kicked off the team and expelled after a few failed drug tests.

Well, now we have his son on the team. Herren Jr., reclassified in order to join Boston College this year instead of being part of the class of 2019. He’s played in all 10 games and is shooting 45% from three while averaging 5 points per game. I don’t care who your parents are or anything like that. You bust your ass enough to get rewarded with a scholarship it’s awesome.
