Marcus Pettersson Makes Insane Diving Play To Save Game For Penguins

WOW. What an absolutely insane play from Marcus Pettersson to save a goal for the Penguins against the Capitals tonight. The play happened in the 3rd period and had the Capitals scored, they would have tied the game. The Penguins held on and went on to win the game 2-1.

Pettersson was acquired by the Pens on Dec. 3rd from the Anaheim Ducks for Daniel Sprong. I’m sure Pettersson is just getting situated in the room and I can tell you right now there is no better way to get a team to like you than to do something like this. Matt Murray said after the game that the team gave their Viking Helmet (game MVP) to Pettersson.

Pens-Capitals year in and year out is so entertaining. Crosby vs Ovechkin will NEVER get old. This exchange Pierre McGuire caught between the two was unbelievable.

What a game though. Going to be a sad day when these two aren’t battling anymore.
