Johnny Depp Has Absolutely No Clue How To Use A Shovel

Last night I was mindlessly watching tv, as I always do after midnight, when this absolutely shocking video caught my eye and I spent the next two hours rewatching this video on a loop rather than actually watching whatever show was on tv. I mean Johnny Depp has no idea how shovels work. Look at this goddamn guy!

How many takes did they do? How many times did Johnny Depp just completely dump half a desert of sand on his head? Not a single person on set decided to take him aside and say, “Listen, Johnny, I know it’s just a cologne commercial so you probably didn’t do a ton of role research but just fyi you really don’t have to throw everything you shovel on top of your head. That’s not how it works. You just kinda dump it to the side and stay clean. Also why are you gripping the shovel so low? There’s an extra six inches from the handle to where you’re putting your hand.”

But I guess that’s a good life goal to have? One day become so filthy rich that you forget how to do manual labor because you have zero use for that knowledge. That’s an impressive feat.
