Steph Curry Went On Some Random Japanese Basketball Game Show And Got Beat By a 38 Year Old

So first things first, do I have any idea what’s going on here? Nope, no sir/m’am. Not a clue. I went through many Japanese tweets and hit the old ‘translate’ button, but nothing told me anything of value. I assume this was filmed during Curry’s annual trip over to Asia in the offseason, but it’s first coming to surface now so enjoy. Apparently the guy who beat Steph is named Kei Igarashi and he’s 38 years old. He plays for the Niigata Albirex BB of the B.League. Kei has probably been training for this kind of competition his entire life. This is like that one Asian guy who made a billion shots in a row at hot shot.

I’ll tell you what though. He brings that slow release to the NBA and that shit is getting blocked every single time. Easily the best part of these two videos was the audience in this wildly bright room.

That brought back memories of MXC which was essentially my favorite thing from my childhood. Our kids will have no idea what this was and that makes me sad.

The only thing missing from this video were balls being chucked at Curry and his opponent while doing this over water. God I miss MXC.
